What an awesome God we have!
We are at Price this year and teens who have
made decisions to commit to teach kids.
We now have 50 children enrolled. They have
even put invitations out for any new ones.
Thank you to the new principle!

Good News and bad news

We are in our 4th week of Good News Club at Price Elementary and it is growing. So far 7 children have made decisions to trust Jesus for the rest of their precious lives. We have 39 children enrolled. We had a real missionary come this week... Miss Sue our CEF missionary who specializes in preschool and teaches all over the world 64 countries. What a blessing!
We have much to thank the Lord for as we have 7 teens coming to work with the kids and teach.
They are teaching 'Beginnings'... creation, Adam and Eve, Abel and Cain and this week Enoch. Ethan is doing a marvelous job and counseling the children too.
Sad moment today though, the office manager at Eagles' Landing informed us that we could not
teach Good News Club there this year. New management company she says doesn't want just one religion being taught there (;-( . Our God is in control and I believe He has plans we don't even know about.

Birthday lunch

A beautiful lunch was set out for the celebration of my birthday.
What a sweet time with Toni, Joseph, Johnny, Joshua and Daniel.
How God blesses this grandma!

Last week was such a blessing. (2nd week in Aug. 2009).... I was privileged
to transport 3 teens, 2 were grandchildren to South Padre Island. Elisa, Nicole and Kylee (dear friend of Elisa's). We stayed in a condo with other condos in the complex occupied by relatives!! God as always blessed our time spent with one another. Spent hours everyday on the beach and shared meals..It was grand. Just an added time to thank our wonderful God for all He does. His creation to see on the nature walk was breathtaking to say the least.
My little CRV Honda had been "repaired" before we left, but someone had made an error. It clanked the whole time all the way and back. I took it in to the mechanic and he was amazed it did not break down. He said, "Someone was certainly watching over you!" We know WHO don't we?Isn't HE compassionate... don't have time to tell all the wonderful things HE has done in the last few days and to add to it all the things we are not even aware of !!!

5 Day Club

John 15:16 (ESV)

16You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

I pray that God would bless this club this week and many would come to the Father.

The Lord loves us so much!

2 Peter 3:8-10

8But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare

The Delight of Despair May 24 By Oswald Chambers

"And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead." Rev 1:17
It may be that like the apostle John you know Jesus Christ intimately, when suddenly He appears with no familiar characteristic at all, and the only thing you can do is to fall at His feet as dead. There are times when God cannot reveal Himself in any other way than in His majesty, and it is the awfulness of the vision which brings you to the delight of despair; if you are eer to be raised up, it must be by the hand of God.

Numbers 33 is what God commanded Moses.... to record the stages in the 40 years of Israelites journey to the promised land.
Our Father in heaven, if that is what you desire of me.... I am listening and will obey. Come Holy Spirit, breath on me.
I pray that You, Lord will help me be faithful. Without You I am not able. I love You.

Maggie's Confirmation

Yesterday, Saturday, this grandmother, Mimi, was blessed to attend the confirmation of her son's eldest, Maggie at St. Mark's Catholic church. She looked radiant and wore a beautiful shawl of her own making!
It is so wonderful to know my children are growing in the Lord and also a blessing to know that my grandchildren are walking in the Lord.
My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever. Psalm 145:21

Oh the joy of grandchildren. You can see these two are sweeties. Oh thank You Lord for how You bless me. This is Anna in blue and Mary Grace in rose. They were so much fun to watch at the North Texas Irish Festival.

Onward

Life changes, we grow older and hopefully wiser. Oh that we could realize our true life is way beyond here and now. Our merciful God for some thought Him harse, He is so forgiving. How often we rebel and our wondrous creator forgives. Numbers 14:20 "I have forgiven them as you asked......however they did not get to see the Promised Land. Forgiveness is what HE does,
however we must remember we continue to forget, His forgiveness. Strange, the most wonderful unbelieveable creator whose creation is all around us and we still are blind.
Romans 1:20.. "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities---His eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen. being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

Israel

I am committing to evaluate and post about my trip with my eldest daughter to Israel.
We went last spring and I am convicted that it is important to gather my memories,
pictures and momentos and write about it. If I don't put this in form of a promise in
print, I won't do it... so be watching for my installments of "THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME" by yours truly... Mimi

Lordslambs?

Because I have so many grandchildren, my delight would be to encourage them in the Lord. serving Him, learning more through His Word, and also with that, seeing how His Holy Spirit helps them Live Beyond Themselves.   That through the power of the Holy Spirit, they can "do things they couldn't, feel things they didn't and know things they wouldn't". Psalm 27:13 "I will see the goodness of the Lord in the Land of the living"
Praise God...

Living Beyond Yourself

Am in an exciting Bible study-Beth Moore. God is showing me that even as old as I am
He continues to work in me through His Holy Spirit. My prayer is that through this
study, I can share new, fresh and divine insight in how He loves and guides us in His Spirit.
John 3:16, He loves us soooooo much.

1 John 4

1 John 4
Test the Spirits
1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

4You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
God's Love and Ours
7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son[b] into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for[c] our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

13We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 16And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 17In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. 18There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

19We love because he first loved us. 20If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Footnotes:Never forget, the Lord is perfect in love and timing. Do what you know that He wants, not what we want. To love oneanother, takes a true love of HIM.

Love

Let not earthly things disturb you, rather, remember Roman 12:1-2. God asks us to make ourself living sacrifices.
What more? Our minds, hearts and bodies should be in submission to His will.
My mind, not my emotions, have consistantly been saying that "how can anyone one deny HIM who is all goodness?"
The truth is God is, was and will be the only basis for the truth or goodness in this world. Where else?
How you can know God is to meditate on the good things. It is amazing to think of a crucifixtion as good, isn't it?
Yet God took something as bad as that and made it the most wonderful thing we humans can think of!
What an awesome God. He gives us opportunity to see HIS LOVE in completeness. The sacrifice is the ultimate
completeness of love. Stay from darkness, but look to HIS LIGHT.
